Months ago government has issued a circular to link your pan card with aadhar which is mandatory to fill the income tax return. After that step around 11.44 lakh pan card has been deactivated and in the last week Unique Identification Authority of India had deactivated around 81 lakhs aadhar card to stop the duplicate and fraud financial dealings.
As per the government source the suspension of Aadhar card numbers was done according to the guidelines of Aadhaar Life Cycle Management (ALCM).
In case if you want to check your aadhar number is still valid or not you can follow the below easy steps by self online:
Step1: Visit here https://uidai.gov.in it is the office website link of UIDAI
Step2: After opening the link you will see the tab Aadhaar Online Services, under this section check Aadhaar Services tab on first number there is a link “Verify Aadhaar Number” click on it.
Step3: After clicking fill your 12 digit Aadhaar Number and enter the captcha code. Now click on verify button.
At last if a green check sign is appeared on your screen it means your aadhar is active and its exist in UIDAI data.
On the other side if you aadhar is deactivated visit your nearest aadhar card enrolment center with your documents.
