If the bank account is not linked to the Aadhaar card then the government will freeze the bank account till the link between the bank account and the Aadhaar card has been established. Steps to Check Aadhaar and Bank Account Linking Status
– To begin with, you can navigate to UIDAI portal for checking the Aadhaar and bank linking status. You can navigate to the portal here https://resident.uidai.gov.in/bank-mapper.
– Once the portal has been displayed, all you have to do is that you need to enter the Aadhaar number along with a security code. On entering the details, an OTP will be generated
– Now enter the OTP in the designated area and you will be able to see the information of all the accounts linked with your Aadhaar number.
– If in case you already linked your account and if you are not able to see it on the portal then you should contact the bank for more information. They will process a manual request for linking the Aadhaar card and the bank account
