How to Link Aadhaar Card with EPF Account Online and Offline

EPF stands for Employee Provident Fund and as per one of the notification, it is now mandatory to link the Aadhaar card with the EPF account as well. All the people in the service industry has an EPF Account and a small portion of salary goes in EPF. In this article, we have listed the steps to link the EPF account and the Aadhaar Card.

Offline Process

Here is how you can link the Aadhaar with EPF through offline process

  • The first step of the process is to find the nearest EPFO or Common Service Centres. Once you find the location, you will have to visit the office and obtain a form for Aadhaar Seeding.
  • Now, you can fill the form with all the mandatory and important details. After filling the form, ensure that all the details entered by you are correct and then attach a copy of a PAN Card, UAN Number and Aadhaar Card with the forms.
  • Submit the form to the executive at the EPF Office and take the acknowledgment slip from him. After the verification, the EPF Account will be linked to the Aadhaar Number and you will receive a text message confirming the same.

Online Process

Here is how you can link the Aadhaar with EPF through offline process

  • The first part of this process is to login to the unified portal of Employee Provident Fund. You can access the portal by clicking here and then you can login using your user credentials. If this is the first time you are accessing the account then you will have to register first.
  • Now navigate to the top menu and click on KYC Option from the available drop-down
  • In this option, you will now get the space to enter the Aadhaar Number, PAN Number Passport number, and other such details.
  • Enter the required information and click on save button. It takes about 15 working days for the link to be established and the same will be notified to you via SMS.
  • It should be noted that if you face any trouble with the linking process then you must inform the employer.

It is always advisable to opt for the online process as it is quick and it saves your time as you would not have to visit the EPFO office. So, ensure that you link the Aadhaar card with the EPF Account before the deadline.
