Bank of Maharashtra is one of the biggest public banks in India. There are huge numbers of customers who have been with the bank for a long time. However, according to the new directives of the Government of India, all the bank accounts of the holders must be linked with their respective Aadhaar Number. This has been made mandatory for each customer and the customers must do it as soon as possible. Bank of Maharashtra has facilitated the Aadhaar linking process via various ways.
Here are the different methods by which Aadhaar can be linked with the Bank of Maharashtra accounts.
To link your Aadhaar card with the bank account, you must have internet or mobile login and password. This can be obtained from the bank.
Log in to the official internet banking website of the Bank of Maharashtra (www.bankofmaharashtra.in/) with the user id and password
At the landing page, a link can be seen for Registering the Aadhaar with the bank account. The customer needs to click on the link.
Insert your 12 digit Aadhaar card number and re-enter it to confirm in the text box popped up.
Click on the Submit button and you will get a confirmation.
Once the linking is done, you will be sent an SMS from the bank for the successful linking.
If you don’t have access to the internet or facing any issue, you can always get the linking done by the offline process. However, you need to carry your original Aadhaar card and a copy of it.
Visit the nearest Bank of Maharashtra Branch and ask for Aadhaar linking form.
Fill in the form with all the details and provide your 12 digit Aadhaar number.
Self-Attest the form and the copy of the Aadhaar card before handing it over to the executive.
You can be asked for the original copy just to verify and it will be returned to you, after the verification.
You will be given a receipt for the submission.
Once the Aadhaar is linked to the Bank Account, you will receive an SMS in your registered mobile number for confirmation.
You can even use the Bank of Maharashtra ATM to link your Aadhaar card with the bank account.
